Baby It's Cold Outside

As much as I love the winter months they do bring (for me at least) one severe disadvantage. Chapped and dry hands. I think that I probably have my mums genes to thank for this one and as a result I have a pretty impressive hand cream knowledge. Despite wearing gloves pretty much every day from November to March (anyone who knows me will know I sometimes carry more than one pair at a time) my hands do still suffer leading me to this beauty.

Its not the cheapest but by no means is it the most expensive and, in my humble opinion it is the best!

Does anyone else have any tips for dealing with the harsh winter weather?

Christmas wouldn't be christmas without...

...any lush bath bombs. As always (and Im not suggesting for a second that I might be ungrateful) the lovely lush have provided a number of present ideas that I both gave and received. The smell my presents are currently giving my room is incredibly tempting but I wanted to save the enjoyment until after both my January exams and this post. So keep reading to find out what was in my christmas stocking this year...

Product 1.

Sweetie Pie shower jelly.

The pot describes it as smelling of cherries and coconut and while I can’t completely verify this I can confirm it smells, well, lush! Sweet as the label suggests. However it is the look of this particular jelly that is the most interesting. The jelly really does sparkle, it looks as if an entire pot of glitter was thrown in to making it. As a girl who loves a bit of sparkle this is ideal, however it may be a bit much if glitter is not your thing and I have yet to see how annoying the glitter becomes when used (you know when you cant get rid of it for months) so we will have to wait and see the overall result of this one.

Product 2

The melting snowman.

On cuteness factor this one definitely wins hands down! It almost feels a shame to throw him in a bath full of water!

The melt probably has the least distinctive smell of all the items I received this year. I felt it smelt a bit like tea but no one else seems to agree with me on this. However this calm smell is not necessarily a negative thing.  Time will tell how successfully it works in the bath, and how I will feel after throwing him in. But it’s definitely the most seasonal I have seen.

Product 3.

Honey Bee bath bomb.

Lush’s website describes this as smelling exactly like the “honey I washed the kids” soap and it really does!. It’s smell is quite distinctively honey which suits it’s colour perfectly.

The bath bomb, like most, is quite crumbly and has been virtually impossible to store effectively, especially due to its size. Despite this however I cannot wait to use it and watch how it effects my evening bath!

Product 4.

Candy mountain Bubble bar.

I actually received 2 of these for christmas, which is surprising as it was my least favorite of all this years Lush products. I didn’t hate it by any means i just found the colour a bit much (it really is that bright!) and the smell a bit overpowering.

However as I received two I have already used one and it did make incredible bubbles. (If you have one I would recommend only using half at a time as it creates quite a few in very little water). A very redeeming feature I feel. Overall another very lovely bath experience.

Did you receive any Lush goodies this winter? Let me know what you thought.
